CO2 LASER FOR SKIN LESION REMOVAL
Depending upon the type of lesion, there are two methods for skin lesion removal:
Surgical method
Laser method – The focused leaser beam of the CO2 laser with its high energy density is used for surgical cutting and ablative laser skin lesion removal.
In our practice, we use both methods for skin lesion removal.
We also offer histopathology testing after the removal.
The advantage of the CO2 laser surgery over traditional surgical incision is the lack of direct contact between the tool and the tissue and at the same time coagulation of damaged blood and lymphatic vessels. The healing process after the procedure is very fast and leaves slight traces. Topical anesthesia is applied before each treatment.
The most common skin lesions treated by the CO2 laser are the following:
– Common warts
– Flat Warts
– Seborrhoeic warts
– Molluscum contagiosum
– Cystosteatoma
– Lipomas
– Heat rash (miliaria)
– Calluses
– Corns
– Mole removal
